Meet Meg, Founder & Creative Director of MB Design Co.

A passionate and bubbly individual who takes pride in everything she does, Meg has been surrounded by creativity from a young age. With Meg’s mum, Julie, owning her own bridal shop from a young age, she would constantly see how much positivity you can bring to someone through guidance and vision. This set Meg on her creative path, incorporating creative processes learnt from her mum into her work.

After studying Visual Arts in Year 12, Meg found her calling to start her own creative career in which she moved to Newcastle NSW, to study Visual Communications at The University of Newcastle. Since graduating almost 3 years ago Meg continues to grow her scope of practise and learn new strategies to implement within her own process. Meg tackles all tasks with a fresh open mind, which allows her to make each project unique to the client. Driven by her passion and love of graphic design, Meg never fails to 100% apply herself in every brief. Meg’s creative journey has set her on the path of starting three different companies through the lock downs which she continues to pursue through online sales and attending markets. These companies are MB Design Co, Burn Active and The Spotty Socked Lops.

Whilst maintaining her self directed businesses, Meg also works as Senior Graphic Designer for Newcastle based luxury fashion magazine, Façon. Currently with three magazines under her belt, Meg works within a small team to produce a half yearly magazine which focuses on lifestyle and fashion within the Hunter Region.

“Being a graphic designer means more to me than creating logos and drawing pretty pictures; it is my creative outlet that allows me to explore the world from other’s perspective. Since moving to Australia in 2012, art and design has played a huge role in understanding myself and the world around me. It not only gives me the freedom to express my own thought process, but gives me the opportunity to work alongside individuals and make their ideas a reality.”
